23rd August 2014

We went to Iceland.
That was fun.
Hot springs, glacial lagoons, bit of wind, lots of sun, good times.
I took Big Bertha, sorry for all the time you spent waiting, Frau Schweers.

#22 this DC3, like Maraika, is from Chicago, but unline Maraika, it crashed on this beach near Vík in November 1973 and has been sitting there since. It's been in quite a few movies. You can get to it from the ring road, but only if you're on 4x4.

#24 this is Fjaðrárgljúfur, a canyon between Vatnajökull and Katla. It's about 20 minutes off the ring road. Worth a stop.
